  • Knife: This is my standard, full sized PJ, a knife directly designed by and custom made for United States Air Force Pararescuemen. A larger and meatier version of my most popular knife, the PJLT (Pararescue Jumper Light), the PJ has a fuller, longer, and more deeply hollow ground blade. This one was custom made for a fine PJ that has moved on to contribute to civilian rescue and is an active independent duty medic. This knife goes well beyond the requirement of survival knives, it is a true rescue icon, developed exclusively for our nation's top military, and now civilian rescue professionals. The blade is made of tough, hard, and extremely sharp 440C high chromium martensitic stainless steel, my most popular stainless tool steel for good reasons. It's very wear resistant, tough, reliable, and holds a great edge. It's highly corrosion resistant, so much so that it is my most asked for stainless tool steel for tactical, combat, and professional duty knives. The blade has a tanto point that is very stout with a secondary point for applying great pressure, and two inches of my Vampire rip tooth serrations. The bolsters are zero care 304 high nickel, high chromium austenitic stainless steel, and are fully and comfortably contoured and radiused for a solid grip. The handle scales are canvas reinforced Micarta phenolic, bedded and secured with eight 304 stainless steel pins and dovetailed bolsters. It is a very solid, stout, and powerful knife, and I've custom engraved it for my client honoring his service and sacrifice.
  • Sheath: Included in the package and just as important as the knife is the sheath. This one is my positively locking kydex, aluminum, and stainless steel. The kydex is double thickness (.125") and is hot formed over a welt frame of 5052-H32 corrosion resistant, high strength aluminum, with a protective liner at the cutting edge. The sheath locking hardware is all stainless steel for dependability and high corrosion resistance, and the entire sheath is secured with stainless steel, low glare Chicago screws. The sheath has my traditional die-formed belt loops (not shown) included, and also has my bolt-on ultimate belt loop extender with full accessory package. This allows a lower, more traditional placement of the locking sheath on the belt, and will accommodate thicker belts and belts up to 2.5" wide, and includes the anti-flop shock cord with nickel plated steel snap retention, the diamond pad sharpener, and the magnesium-firesteel fire starter. Learn more about these useful accessories here. The sheath includes a blue lacquered brass removable flashplate for presentation.
  • It is always an honor to make these knives for those who have served and continue to serve our country and community in the lifesaving field.

Thanks, M.M.!
