Not many knife makers and artists are lucky enough to have the support of patrons that allows extravagant, even outrageous pieces to come to fruition. It is not the artist alone that creates the sculpture, it is his patron who supports him and believes in his efforts to create and the value of the creative spirit. I believe that this page honors them, the patrons who support me in what I do. I'm lucky to have met these people in my life, blessed that they have supported my vision.
Knives are not just blades, handles and sheaths, though that is mostly what you will see produced by any modern knife maker. There is more than the materials and the typical accepted definition of a knife in the finest pieces. When knives, swords, daggers, and edged works become independent sculptural works, I call them knife sculpture.
You won't see the term knife sculpture used in any reference, and it has always been my belief that this is the developmental cusp of my art and tradecraft. I won't go into great detail about the pieces on this page, and just let the photographs speak for themselves. I'll include links where more information and pictures may be found.
Thanks for being here and supporting knife art!
